LAS are now assisting customers to import American RV motorhomes into the UK. We will arrange the IVA test for you and undertake the work needed to comply with the IVA test.
One of our customers has recently imported a new American RV motorhome to the UK. We would like to present you with one of our customer’s choices, just to give you an idea of what can be done with a little bit of arranging and what you can save.
LAS plan to periodically post articles on customer’s choices, just to give you some ideas.
Our customer from Essex is now the proud owner of the Jayco Greyhawk ‘c’ class American RV Motorhome. This American RV Motorhome is sat on the Ford E450 chassis. Its power unit is the 6.8-litre V10 engine which will happily run on LPG with considerable savings on the running cost. The chassis is rated at 6577KG which allows you to drive the motorhome on a car licence.
There are two slide outs on the Jayco Greyhawk, one behind the driver’s seat which contains a rather comfortable two seated sofa that turns into a bed, and the other slide out that contains the bunk beds and the rear bedroom wardrobe. This American RV Motorhome could be used for a large family as it will sleep 8, or for a smaller family giving extra space. It also has two bunk beds for the children, a double bed in the bedroom at the back as well as another double bed over the drivers and passenger seats. All in all this Jayco Greyhawk American RV Motorhome is a very well equipped unit.
The price you pay for one could depend on how good you are at striking a deal. As a guide you could be paying between £60,000 – £65,000 + IVA, which to me is a lot of Motorhome for your money.
