3rd, 4th & 5th September 2015 FIA/FIM European Championships at Santa Pod
Simon Gough had been testing on Friday 3rd September 2015 prior to me arriving at 19.00 hours. When we met up I asked all of the usual questions, from his answers and enthusiasm all was going well, the car and the track were both good.
During Friday night and early Saturday it rained, this meant that all racing was delayed until mid-morning. Simon’s qualifying race group were early, the track had not had time to bed in after the drying up process. No problems though, he qualified and went onto the next round. At this point we were down to 16 cars, next race would decrease the group to 8.
Unfortunately this was Simon’s last race, he got a red light and was out. Not all doom and gloom, he will still leading the Santa Pod Championship as he goes into the finals in 2 week’s time. Good luck Simon we are all routing for you!
